The experience of the Uluru National Park and surrounds are awe inspiring, I have been to Ayers Rock Resort as Artist/Craftsperson in Residence as part of a unique group to promote and sell my work. On those trips, I decided that one day I would bring other artists and groups here to see and feel what I have over those many years…. So here we are for the 3rd Uluru Textile Art event…
“Sewing Up a Storm in the Desert”
My art practice is to change the surface with fabric and fibre, to make marks with a machine and sometimes hand embellishments with thread, to create a visual piece that represents an emotion, an experience and a memory of the place.
